Ajada Reigns
Ajada Reigns was born in New York City to a musically inclined family. Her calling within the world of music was planted in her early years while singing in church, later to be nurtured. She shaped her unique singing style with the training she received from the Harlem School of Arts and the Professional Performing Arts High School in New York City, where she learned to sing in four different languages.
The three-time winner at the World-Famous Apollo Theater accredits Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, India Arie, and Beyonce, among her inspirations. Ajada Reigns possess a powerful, unique vocal style. She has performed for and with household names such as Dr. Martin Luther King III., Donnie McClurkin, Joe Budden, Mary J. Blige, Elle Varner, Chaka Khan, Ashford & Simpson, Ben Vareen, Queen Latifah, Vic Mensa, Plies, AJ Mitchell, and many more.
Ajada Reigns has also performed as a vocalist and actress in several musical productions, including the off-Broadway play, "Your Arms Are Too Short to Box With God," featuring Dr. Cissy Houston. Noted for her stage presence, style, and positivity, many can agree with Grammy-nominated artist Major when he says, "The world needs what she brings."
